Thank you for choosing to use QR Scan Max: Barcode Reader (hereinafter referred to as "the App", "we", "us", or "our"). We understand the importance of your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information and data security. This Privacy Policy is designed to transparently explain how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with any terms in this policy, please stop using the App.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide you with core barcode scanning and creation features and to maintain the normal operation of the App, we may request specific device permissions and collect limited information:
Camera Permission
- Purpose: This is the core permission required for the App to provide its services. We need to use your device's camera to capture and decode QR codes and barcodes.
- Data Protection Commitment: All image capture and barcode decoding processes are performed locally on your device. We will never secretly turn on your camera in the background, nor will we upload your photos, scanned images, or videos to any external servers.
Local Storage Permission (Optional)
- Purpose: When you need to save the art QR codes generated by our App to your phone's gallery, or need to select an image containing a QR code from your system album for decoding, we need permission to read and write to your local storage.
- Data Protection Commitment: We only access the images you actively select, and we will never scan or collect your gallery content.
Device and Usage Data (Automatically Collected)
- Purpose: To provide basic services, troubleshoot crash bugs, and show you advertisements, we may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information. This may include your device model, operating system version, app version number, system language settings, and crash logs.
2. Ads, Third-Party Services & SDK Directory
The App is currently free for users. To cover high development and maintenance costs, we integrate third-party tools (Software Development Kits or "SDKs") to display advertisements and analyze app performance. In future updates, we may offer In-App Purchases (subscriptions) to remove ads or unlock premium features.
When you consent to our data collection for advertising and analytics purposes, these third-party partners may collect your device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / AAID), IP address, and app interactions. Below is a list of the third-party SDKs we have integrated and links to their privacy policies, so you can understand their data processing practices and exercise your rights directly with them:

- Facebook (Meta)
- InMobi
- ironSource
- Mintegral

Analytical Companies
These tools and technologies allow us to better understand how users interact with our services, helping us improve the product experience:
Opt-out Options: You can choose to reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your Android device's "Settings" > "Google" > "Ads".
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Processing: We put "privacy first" at the core of our design. Your Scan History and generated QR code data are encrypted and saved in your local device database.
- Data Deletion: If you uninstall the App from your device or clear the App data, all history records saved within the App will be permanently deleted. Since we do not upload this data to cloud servers, we will not be able to restore the data for you after uninstallation.
- Security Measures: We use industry-standard administrative and technical measures to prevent your information from loss, theft, or unauthorized access.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to any third parties. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: To display ads or conduct basic product usage statistics, the third-party advertising and data analytics platforms we partner with will access necessary device data.
- Legal Requirements: When required by legal subpoenas, court orders, government investigations, or to protect our legitimate rights and interests.
5. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will immediately take reasonable steps to delete such data from our records.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
As our business develops (such as adding subscription features or new characteristics in the future), we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be updated on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised. We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically to understand how we are protecting your information.
